Rail Adventure Workshop June 2017

695.00

The Chicago to New Orleans Rail Adventure combines street photography with train passage on Amtrak’s “City of New Orleans.” Our route begins in Chicago, IL, and runs through several states including Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi, and arriving in the dynamic city of New Orleans, LA.

It’s approximately a 19-hour trip, traveling through lush, beautiful landscapes, and ending in the Deep South in a city rich in culture, history, and of course, a myriad of photographic possibilities.

If you want to read detailed information about riding “City of New Orleans,” go to Amtrak's website, go up to "Destinations," then click on "Routes and Stations." Scroll down and you'll see our “City of New Orleans.” You can click on the route guide to learn about the sights we'll see on our way to NOLA.

During our 19-hour journey on the “City of New Orleans,” we’ll conduct informal meetings, prepare for our arrival in Louisiana, grab a little shut-eye, and yes, photograph the interesting landscape as we pass by.

Upon our arrival, we’ll explore the French Quarter, prepare our images during group lab time, and finish off the workshop with a class presentation. I so hope you’ll be able to join us!

You can reserve your spot by clicking on this link to pay your workshop fees. Once your place is reserved, we’ll help you prepare for what should be the highlight of your summer.

If you have any follow-up questions, please drop me a note at dstory@gmail.com. I’ll get back to you ASAP.

Hope you can join us!
